

Planting Day 5th September - update
With nearly 25mm (1 inch) of rain overnight, the ground was very wet, with plenty of water flowing into and out of the wetland area. Fortunately, the afternoon was brighter and dry, although a brisk wind made conditions a little uncomfortable. Our four volunteers planted more than 30 native trees around the wetland, with further planting planned over the coming weeks. Planting day 5th September
Quick update on the planned planting day this coming Saturday 5th September. With rain forecast for Friday evening into Saturday, planting will start at 2pm. Please meet at the Sebastopol Road entrance, come dressed for showers and soft ground.. Planting will be done where the ground is not too wet or muddy, so it is expected that only a limited number of trees will be planted.
