Spring Work Day

1 min read

With spring bursting forth with new growth, it’s time to get some maintenance work done around our developing woodland and wetland areas.

There’s still plenty to do! We have some native tree saplings to plant, along with a collection of reeds and sedges. Some of the trees planted last year need their tree guards replaced, while the grass around the woodland and wetland areas needs mowing, with some whipper-snipping around the young trees.

Our next work day is planned for Saturday 31 October, from 10am to 12 noon.

Parking will be available at the Sebastopol Road entrance. If you’re able to lend a hand, please get in touch and let us know you’d like to volunteer. We’d love to see you there!

Improving Our Waterways

This coming week, some landscaping work will be carried out on the swales that direct water into the wetland area. The work will make the swales more clearly defined and improve their ability to manage the flow of water around the property.

These ongoing improvements will help us care for the land and support the developing wetland and woodland environments.
