March Concert Poster
Here is the poster for the upcoming fundraising concert. We are excited for this event as we see it creating great exposure for Mark's Country Place and should help us continue to the development of the property as well as bring a great concert to the area.

January Update
We were fortunate to escape the terrible bushfires last week, The fires in Harcourt were just 30km (about 20 miles) to the north west of us. It was very hot with strong winds and we saw the water level drop significantly in the wetland area. We have been doing some watering of the trees and grasses, but need to do more before the next hot spell, this next weekend. Grass is dry and water level has dropped!

Progress Update & Exciting News
This week the property (grass area) was cut by one of our neighbours, partially to meet the fire regulations, but also to provide them with hay. A win-win for us both! Our exciting news is that in association with A Rounded Music Education we are planning a fundraising concert for 1st March in Kyneton. More details will be posted on our website as soon as they are available . View from Deep Lead Lane entrance.

Progress in November
Our work day on the 22nd was a great success, with a team of local volunteers of all ages, making light work of the tasks. The long paddock grass was mowed around the trees which were planted in July. Many of the young trees received fresh cardboard around their bases with additional mulch on top. We also cleared a number of rocks to make future mowing easier. We are thankful for those volunteers who have come since the work day to cut more of the grass. Looking across the gr

November Work Day
Saturday 22nd November is our next community work day, running from 10am to 12pm. Preparation is already underway, with some mowing completed around the newly planted trees so we can continue mulching. There’s still more mowing to be done, along with collecting rocks around the wetland area to make future maintenance easier. All volunteers are welcome! Please come prepared with gardening gloves, boots, and comfortable clothing. With the warmer weather, remember to stay alert

Work Day & Thanks
There has been some more welcome rain today — perfect for keeping the newly planted trees and grasses well-watered. However, the warm spring days have also encouraged the original paddock grasses and weeds to grow rapidly! We’ll be holding a working day on Saturday 22nd from 10am to 12pm , and all help is welcome. Some of the main tasks will include spreading additional tree chippings around the new plantings and collecting the many small rocks scattered around the wetland ar
