Music for Mark’s Country Place: A Classical Baroque Concert Supporting Inclusion in Kyneton
Music lovers from across Victoria are invited to visit Kyneton and enjoy an afternoon of exceptional classical music while supporting the establishment of a much-needed inclusive garden and recreational space for people with disability and their families.

Music for Mark’s Country Place is a special concert presented by A Rounded Music Education and organised by its Director, Arzu Yuvarlak-Danaher. Featuring a delightful Baroque programme of works by Vivaldi, Handel, Bach, and Biber, the concert will take place at 2.00 pm on Sunday, 1 March 2026, at the Kyneton Mechanics Institute. The performance will be followed by refreshments, providing an opportunity for musicians and audience members to connect and share in the experience.
The concert will be performed by distinguished Melbourne Symphony Orchestra musicians Isin Cakmakcioglu (violin), Roger Young (violin), Gabriella Halloran (viola), and Rohan de Korte (cello), alongside local soloist mezzo-soprano Kristen Leich, a Kyneton resident.
Members of the Victorian Music Teachers’ Association (VMTA) are supporting this initiative. The VMTA promotes the importance of high-quality music education and is committed to engaging with the wider community through meaningful musical experiences.
Mark’s Country Place and its supporters are honoured to partner with A Rounded Music Education to bring this unique event to Kyneton. Founders Stuart and Sue Colvin are delighted to see the concert come to the Macedon Ranges, offering local audiences the opportunity to enjoy an outstanding musical performance while contributing to an important community project.
All proceeds from the concert will support the establishment of Mark’s Country Place in Kyneton — an all-access garden and recreational space open to people with disability, their families, carers, and the wider community. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
“We are excited to bring together these talented classical musicians to create a beautiful and moving musical experience,” said Arzu Yuvarlak-Danaher. “Music for Mark’s Country Place is not only a concert, but a way to raise funds and awareness for greater inclusion, access, and wellbeing. Our aim is to help create welcoming spaces where people of all abilities can connect, relax, and spend meaningful time together.”
