Road Blocks

We have heard from the MRSC Planning Department that they are recommending the Council Review Board refuse our application to grant a Change of Use permit.

This is disappointing, but not terminal. We have some time to lobby the Councilors who represent Kyneton and surrounds before the actual Council meeting, where they will vote for or against our application. Historically, the Councilors tend to follow the advice of the Planning Department and Review Board. However, if there is a strong enough evidence and a reason for them to vote against the advice and approve the Permit, then they will vote accordingly.

We'll publish further news and updates when we have more information. Thank you to all our blog readers for your support and encouragement.

Sad to hear that such a worthwhile project has come up against a road block like this. I would have thought that the area could only be enhanced by such a great facility. Good luck in sorting this out.

Hi, You’re certainly coming up against many obstacles. It is difficult to understand when there is such a need for people- young and old to have the freedom to enjoy a safe and accessible outdoor environment regardless of any disabilities they may have. I hope you can get lots of support to continue your efforts to provide such a great place in the community. Good Luck
