Staking Out the Site

We have had difficulty in visualising exactly where the cross-over, entrance, car park and the shed will sit on the block. So last Sunday afternoon, June 28th, we took advantage of the beautiful, bright, sunny winter afternoon to visit the site of Mark's Country Place.

Armed with a bundle of wooden stakes, spade and measuring tape, we marked out some key points to help us identify and gauge the size of these structures which will be part of the Stage 1 development. The 9m x 30m shed which will house two large activity rooms, meeting rooms, a small cafe and the toilets was sized and situated about as we had envisaged. However, we were surprised just how much bigger the car park is than we had imagined. The hour or so that we had spent measuring and staking was well worth the effort as we now have a clearer idea of how this part of the property could look once we get the project underway.
