Work Day & Thanks

There has been some more welcome rain today — perfect for keeping the newly planted trees and grasses well-watered. However, the warm spring days have also encouraged the original paddock grasses and weeds to grow rapidly!

We’ll be holding a working day on Saturday 22nd from 10am to 12pm, and all help is welcome. Some of the main tasks will include spreading additional tree chippings around the new plantings and collecting the many small rocks scattered around the wetland area so that mowing can begin. Mowing is also needed around the grassy woodland to give the young trees and grasses more breathing space to thrive.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the local tree maintenance companies for their generous donations of tree chippings — especially our founding donor, Keatings Tree Care, for their ongoing support and contribution to Mark’s Country Place.
